Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Your Season 2 Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates

The much-anticipated second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video soon, and audience theories has been rampant.

The first season presents a large cast of personalities residing in the afterlife, pits them against each other accompanied by songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes recur frequently: Could a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the binding agreement affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner commented recently. "But I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're anticipating unfolds this season.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some really amazing reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a couple people make a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
